Li Xue the Kirin/Qilin

Name: Li Xue
Species: Kirin/Qilin (Tends to highly resemble a Eastern dragon.)
Age: Appearance- 14 years old
Actual- 700 years old
Species/color/gender: Li Xue is a Kirin/Qilin which is typically portrayed looking similar to a eastern dragon. She has long hair with her bangs slightly spiked and slicked back with a couple strands framing her face. Her hair is beautiful pure white with slight blue and silver undertones/highlights. She has deer like ears set low on her head and small two point antlers. She also has a long eastern dragon like tail. Her ears and antler are both bluish white. Her tail has white fur with blue and silver highlights and white and blue scales. She has a silver hoop earring in each ear. She has beautiful ice blue eyes with flecks of silver in them. Her skin is quite pale. She is always wearing her Celestial Pearl which is silver with white and blue swirls in it. It has the Chinese symbol for snow inscribed on it. She has the ability to change into a great Eastern dragon like creature. In this form her coloring is the same. Her scales are white and blue, her fur is white with blue and silver highlights and her eyes are icy blue with silver flecks. She still has her earrings and Celestial pearl, which hangs around her neck on a black and silver silk cord. Her dragon form is about the same size as Embers though slightly smaller. She is a female. Obviously.
Personality: Li is very shy and reserved. She tends to be very nervous around people because of her past. Because of lack of contact with others Li does not know how to interact with others. She is very smart having memorized hundreds of books, anywhere from fantasy to physics and chemistry. Unlike her brother she is very “book smart” but not “street smart”. She excels at healing and if she sees someone hurt she puts her shyness aside and tends to take charge. She hates seeing anyone in pain, physical and/or mental. She is very kind and caring. She loves books and learning new things. She also likes writing and growing healing herbs. She is very afraid of disappointing people. She’s not good at hiding her emotions. She hates cages.
Clothes: She wears puffy grayish blue pants and a tight grayish blue sleeveless shirt. Over that she wears a white silk Chinese kimono that falls off her shoulders and opens up like a cloak on the bottom half. It is trimmed in blue silk and held together by a blue obi like waistband/cincher. She hates wearing shoes. She is always wearing her Celestial pearl around her neck on a black and silver silk cord. It is silver with white and blue swirls in it. It has the Chinese symbol for snow inscribed on it. She wears a silver hoop earring in each ear.
Short bio: Li Xue was born to a noble family (the closest thing to royalty the kirin/qilin have.). She had a bumpy relationship with her father due to her mother dying during Li’s birth. Her father blamed her for her mothers death, resulting in him both loving and hating her. He loved her because she came from his wife, but he also hated her because she reminded him of her mother and the pain he felt when she died. In the end he alienated himself from her, causing him to confine her to a tower/wing of their large home (they live in an ancient Chinese style home.). For years she was not allowed to leave the confines of her own room. Her only connection to the outside world was her brother, Gan Huo. Gan was very protective of Li, always bringing her books to read and journals to write in. Over the years he pleaded with their father to get Li at least some freedom. After years he finally consented to her coming out and caring for the courtyard gardening, allowing for her to make herself a little sanctuary. She was able to grow different medicinal herbs to learn more about healing. However, even then the person she readily saw was her brother, as the servants avoided her in order not to incur the wrath of their master, her father who also avoided her. What she didn’t know however, was that her brother would purposefully get into arguments with their father in order to keep his wrath directed towards him to keep Li safe. However, when she was 550 years old (equivalent physically to a 11 year old), her brother disappeared without a trace. Her father told her that Gan had abandoned her and that she would always end up alone and abandoned. She fell into a depressed state, no longer leaving her room. Her once beautiful garden withering away as time past. When she turned 700 (equivalent to a 14 year old human physically) however, she finally left her room. She had been walking by her fathers study when she glanced in and saw a journal just like the ones her brother always brought her. Making sure no one was around she crept in and approached the desk to get a closer look only to see that it was indeed the exact same type of journal right down to her name imprinted on the cover. Realizing that this was a journal that her brother had obviously gotten her she grabbed it and looked inside. When she opened the last journal that her brother had given her on the day he disappeared she found a note. It was a message from her brother telling her to meet him in the garden so he could help her escape. It was dated the day he vanished. When she realized that her father had lied to her she went to confront him. When she showed him the letter and asked why he had lied he was furious and struck her. Horrified and filled with terror without taking time to think she fled clutching the journal to her chest. With her eyes filled with tears she was unable to see the cliff she was headed straight towards. However, as she fell suddenly a black vortex opened up right underneath her taking her to a whole new world, right to someone from her past.
Misc. Info: •Li can control ice, wind, and water. If she gets upset her powers tend to cause the temperature to drop drastically and the wind to pick up, sometimes even causing a snow storm. •Li can actually levitate, but only when she isn’t scared or nervous. (that’s why she was unable to levitate when she fell off the cliff.) •Li can recite hundreds of books word for word from memory. •She is fluent in many languages.
